ZYkR

2017 —

Music Series

Electronic · Rock · Songwriting

Started in 2017, ZYKR is a music series exploring themes of identity, memory and nostalgia, love and loss, through experimental electronic music, rock-influenced songwriting, and live multimedia performances — operating as a single ongoing body of work across releases, stages, and forms.

Releases, 2017-2026

Recordings

HAIKU

EP

2017

The project’s first outing: three experimental electronic songs structured as the three lines of a haiku inspired by zen teachings.

LITHIUM

Single

2019

A cover of Nirvana's Lithium, reframed around cultural alienation rather than religious salvation. Where Cobain wrote about a suicidal man finding peace in faith, this version inverts the premise — the isolation of the misfit who has already accepted their distance from the religion and culture they were born into. Shot in slow motion by filmmaker Pranjal Dua in Delhi, the video situates that feeling in the urban middle-class household where it formed.

POLYMER

EP

2020

Polymer takes as its subject the performance of selfhood under pressure — the accumulated compromises that produce a different person. Three songs examining compliance, corporate identity, and political theater.

NOIA

EP

2022

Continuing on the exploration of dark themes amidst darker soundscapes, NOIA documents the point at which agency runs out. Heavier in range and delivery, from desperate thrashing beats to lull soundscapes, this is an EP about the anger, the frustration, the struggles and the resulting chaos created through cycles of dependence.

EVERYTHING IS DULL

Album

2026

Releasing June 2026
The first full length work, Everything Is Dull (EID) is a visceral portrayal of a person struggling with abandonment and loneliness, the ensuing ruminations, and what figuring out the way forward means amidst non-linear emotions. In it's primary form, Everything Is Dull (EID) is presented as a musical album, composed of 7 song-structured and 7 short-form pieces, the emotional resonance captured through spoken word, experimental electronics, guitars and voices. In performance, EID is performed either solo or with contributing musicians as a multi-media audio-visual performance.
