//46 DAYS TILL OPENING

Yesterday I got a chance to go by the gallery and a lot of my misgivings were laid to rest. This will work. The size of the space, the layout, the ceiling, the floor - it’ll work.

I’d spent yesterday afternoon with Aleif. He’s back for a few days to clear out his storage unit and he gave me a Vox AC15! As a middle class kid in india in the early 00s I used to dream about this amp, and now I finally own it!

After the gallery visit i went for datlab (touch designer meetup) and it was great fun conversing with so many other new media artists. Kevin He and Dan Gorelick were the main performers and it was inspiring seeing all the work being done by the artists in this community.

Woke up today to the news of Glen Hansard passing and I was thrown into my teens listening to his music when Once had come out. Spent some of the morning playing his songs and thinking about what a force of nature a good song is.

Then I worked on arranging the live set i’m playing in 2 weeks. Going to have to reprogram the light show for this performance so have to make time for that.

In the late afternoon I went for a walk and then to a coffeeshop to work on some grant applications.

Spent the post dinner time working out how to design the sensor boxes for the hanging elements as well as figuring how to stage it in the studio.

It’s 1 am now, gonna call it an early night.
